Company History

Color Country Community Housing

In its short time of existence, Color Country Community Housing Inc. (CCCHI) has become one of the State's strongest and most successful affordable housing developers. Our strength lies partly in the passion of dedicated staff performing work that benefits others. Our strength also comes from triumph over struggles; because of the challenges of our rural area we have diversified our focus to several affordable housing disciplines.

CCCHI was founded by area leaders to address the affordable housing needs of Southwestern Utah. In 1998, Utah's Governor Mike Leavitt signed into law House Bill 295, which required all Utah cities, towns, and other local municipalities to assess their affordable housing needs; then adopt and implement an appropriate affordable housing plan. Initially, CCCHI worked as a consultant to cities developing their affordable housing plans. Soon however, a lack of affordable housing developers became evident. Therefore CCCHI stepped into this gap and became a builder and provider of affordable housing.

Color Country Community Housing, Inc. (CCCHI) has a vision of eliminating homelessness in our service area by providing safe, decent affordable housing opportunities for all who are in need. As the area's only Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), this vision cannot be realized without partnerships with public and private organizations that have the same vision and passion in solving the affordable housing dilemma in our communities.

Mission Statement

Color Country Community Housing is dedicated to elevating the quality of life for individuals and families within the Tri-State area of Utah, Nevada, and Arizona, by developing rural affordable housing opportunities; fostering community partnership, cooperation and education; and assessing and improving the affordable housing needs of each individual community.
