Programs

"Own a Home in St. George"    The City of St. George has partnered with CCCHI to make buying a home more affordable. First time home buyers may qualify up to $10,000 for down payment and closing cost assistance. These loans with zero interest have no payment due until the home is refinanced or sold.

Mutual Self Help Housing    CCCHI is building new homes in various neighborhoods in the Southwest through the Rural Development Mutual Self Help Housing Program. Low and very-low income residents can build sweat equity in their new homes by participating in the contruction process, with the help of an experienced construction manager. Six to eight families work together as a group and provide approximately 65 % of the labor. This labor not only acts as the down payment, but can reduce the price of the home as much as 25%. There may be additional assistance available for qualified families, such as a mortgage with reduced interest rate, that keeps monthly house payments affordable.

CROWN Lease-to-Own    The CROWN program is unusual because it offers future homeowners a chance to begin building equity in the home with their monthly rent payments. The CROWN "rent-to-own" program, administered by the Utah Housing Corporation, offers tenants a chance to purchase homes after a fifteen-year rental period has expired. A portion of the rent that the occupants pay is put toward the purchase price of the home.

"Ready Now"    CCCHI has been awarded an area dealership with a nationally-recognized manufactured home company. These homes are purchased at 30-35% below the manufacturers suggested retail price, with the savings being passed on to qualifying low-income households. Using this discount, these homes will be setup and sold to low-income families in the Five County area, who otherwise could not afford a new home
